Hello Nazir, It has been a week since our return from Impressions of India trip. We are slowly getting over our jet lag. I still find myself going to the gym at 4 o'clock in the morning (and not minding it). This was my second time in India. The first time was in 1976 when I backpacked through large parts of India for about 5-6 weeks and then returned back again about a month later for four more months to do some work out of Mumbai. I often had a week or two off, which I used to travel further through India. First of all, I must comment on the excellent service that Sandeep has provided to our group. As I have discovered, all twenty-two participants are a well-travelled bunch. From my own perspective, Sandeep was the best guide of any we have ever had, anywhere. I would gladly go on another tour of India under his guidance again. Maybe Kerala one day. We have seen wonderful historical sites, forts and palaces, seen a tiger, experienced Diwali in Varanasi, etc. The hotels chosen by EI were excellent, the food was delicious and travel by bus was very comfortable. We will treasure our memories of India forever and will definitely recommend your company to our friends and relatives. Thank you and Namaste,

I was talking to my husband again about the trip and the two of us agreed that it was a very well-organized trip and excellent value for money . . . above expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend the trip to others. I celebrated my birthday in Agra and it was so lovely. There was a cake and Explore India even gave me a beautiful gift of a shawl! Thanks so much.

Hello Nazir My apologies for the delayed response, but we got home from India and were right back at it with work and Christmas preparations and festivities. I now want to take a moment to thank you and all the people in your organization for making our trip AMAZING. You helped us experience the many sides of India (colours, tastes, sounds, people, cities, countrysides, etc), while also helping us understand its history, culture, politics, environment, evolution and challenges. While I am aware of, and appreciate, all the work put in by your 'behind the scenes' team, I have to say that the one person we spent every day with really helped contribute to making our experience positive and very meaningful. Yazur's knowledge, humor, professionalism and communication skills were much appreciated. He went above and beyond to provide exceptional service to us too - helping individuals (including me) find that special something we were looking for. Thank you Yazur!! I was awestruck by the Taj Mahal and pleasantly surprised by the impact the Amber Fort had on me. Seeing the tigers in both the morning and afternoon trip through Ranthambore's park was also a highlight - and much appreciated. The chaos of the traffic moving through the streets was unexpected and quite entertaining too. Both Harry and I would highly recommend your organization to others considering a trip to India. All the best to you and your team for a happy, healthy and successful 2016!! Cheers

Namaste! What can I say, what's Hindi for fabulous? Thank you so much for Planning such a wonderful tour for us, we thoroughly enjoyed it. India is a country of many layers and we loved them all. I must say that the highlight for me was the Taj Mahal...I actually cried when I saw it, it is so beautiful, no picture could ever do it justice. Everywhere we went was interesting in it's own right, but that was amazing. Accommodation: Great Food: Delicious Itinerary: Perfect The only thing that needs more words is the wonderful staff. Rajeev Sharma managed every little detail and checked to make sure that everything was going well. Mahee was like a happy mother hen that watched over us and gave us so much information I thought my brain would explode...I learned so much about the Indian culture that I could never have learned in a book. Rama our driver has to be the best driver in India, he could maneuver that bus around anything. Surinder (not sure of the spelling) his assistant was always there giving us snacks and water and guiding the bus. I have never seen such competent staff on a vacation. We were also most fortunate to have a wonderful group of fellow travelers and we all plan to get together next month. I would not hesitate to recommend Explore India to any of my friends.

I am finally catching up a bit after my wonderful holiday. I wanted to comment on the excellent care that we experienced through your company. Everything went very smoothly. Each step of the way we were greeted and thoughtfully escorted through our itinerary. All of the guides were good but the guides in Jaipur, Agra and Varanasi were outstanding as they shared not only the history of the places that we were seeing but also helped us to understand some of their own worldview and cultures. The itinerary was very good and did show us a variety of the facets of India. Our guide in Delhi arranged for us to go to the Lodhi Park and that was a real bonus. We both missed being able to walk freely when not on a tour due both to the traffic and to the insistence of men wanting to take us shopping in their rickshaws and cabs-- so that park was a delight. Varanasi was the highlight for both of us! We enjoyed the home meal that we had in Jaipur as it gave us a glimpse of the women's lives. So much to learn about a very different culture! I would definitely recommend Explore India to other travelers.

This is how we tell it:) After reading an ad in the Globe& Mail, phone calls to Nazir (voice of confidence and charm) what could l say. Although it took some time to do some research and a few emails/calls finally it was a go... From the first morning at 300a.m.in our hotel in Delhi we first met our Leader we were confident we had made a good choice for our first trip to India. As we reflect the first thing that comes to mind is how well every detail was so well organized, the personal touch and the caring way that our Leader Nazir looked out for everyone was absolutely amazing.. Some of the many moments that stick out in my mind:) Never in my wildest dream had l ever thought of spending Valentine day in Old Delhi, the sights, the sounds & the crowds l could never imagine or was l prepared. The Jama Mosque, Bicycle Rickshaw ride(just one of several)memorial site of Mahatma Gandhi, the Unesco sites, more Mosques, more Temples and. amazing Forts...To top off the day like all others to follow was the accommodations & dining experiences all extra-ordinary. We also remember Varnasi, the religious Capital of Hinduism again the Temples & Museum, the Banks of the Ganges to witness the ceremony of the Aarti to the sunrise early next morning to see the bathing Ghats. My wife and I are now back in Guyana after our participation in the October 30 Golden Triangle Land Tour of India. We want to thank you and Explore India for the excellence of the arrangements which ensured a memorable and enjoyable experience. For us, India was indeed incredible and we shall treasure many pleasant memories of the tour, the camaraderie among our group and the new friendships fostered. The physical arrangements – choice of itinerary, hotels, monuments and other sights – would undoubtedly have been refined over time based on your Company’s experience in the field, and Evelyn and I ask you and Explore India to accept our sincere compliments on that aspect of the arrangements. There was another element that complemented the physical aspect in the absence of which our experience might not have exceeded expectation. Here we are referring to the human element which also contributed significantly to the overall impression. From the moment that we were welcomed at Delhi Airport - well after midnight - by Rajeev Sharma, we felt the positive impact of the human side of Explore India. Rajeev infused the group with the confident expectation which was fulfilled over the days of the Tour. The team who looked after us for the duration of the trip are worthy of the highest commendation. Our Tour Manager Rajur was simply outstanding. Evelyn and I have done other tours but Rajur was easily the best we have encountered – great personality, friendly but firm, but most of all extremely knowledgeable. He provided valuable insights in an interesting way into the history, traditions, social and economic issues of India that proved to be a useful background to the monuments and places of interest we visited. Our coach driver Surjit was competent and generated confidence in his skills in what at times could best be described as organized chaos while helper Sonu was attentive to our needs and with Surjit ensured that the coach was always clean and comfortable. All in all, Evelyn and I very highly rate the experience compared against other tours that we have done.

Hello, Nazir. I thought I would drop you a note with some comments on our trip to India. As you know, I was quite apprehensive about the trip before we left, partly because I knew it was going to be a completely new experience for us, and also because of the alerts about the unusually high levels of pollution and the demonetization announcement by Prime Minister Modi which took effect just before we left Vancouver. (From an outsiders point of view, it appeared that the people most negatively affected by this drastic move were the “have nots”, rather than those who were the primary target.) I will begin by saying that this trip was truly the most memorable travelling experience we have ever had. We will never forget the sights, the sounds, the people, the colour, the life. The biggest highlight for us was Varanasi (all aspects of the city and the sights, but especially going out on the River Ganges both in the evening and again at sunrise the next morning.). It was like stepping into a different world. I am so glad you suggested that we go there. It truly does have a spiritual feeling. A bonus for us was seeing parts of two weddings that took place at our hotel when we were there. We had never seen an Indian wedding before, and the decorations, music, and colourful dress were fun and entertaining to watch. The tour we took with our guide, Ada, to one of the slums in Mumbai was also an eye-opening and unforgettable experience. Seeing the recycling of mountains of “garbage; watching the men sewing fabrics in small rooms; having the children play and wave and smile at us (but not asking for money); observing the making of pottery and the use of what appeared to be homemade kilns; watching the preparations for a birthday party with many of the neighbours joining in to help; and on and on. We had expected an atmosphere of Despair, but instead felt that this was a vibrant, active community, despite the basic nature of the housing and the lack of so many amenities we take for granted. We have no way of knowing if this slum was representative of the many other slums which were apparent in some of the cities we visited, but we will not forget it. We also loved Jaipur and are glad we spent an extra day there. The elephant ride up to the Amber Fort with its wonderful views out over the countryside; the observatory with its enormous and precision instruments; watching the full process of carpet making including weaving, scraping, washing, burning of the fibers with a blow torch; and hand washing (hard work); another wedding which we spent watching by the pool at the beautiful Taj hotel; the street scenes with people, animals, merchants, crazy traffic – all of it was wonderful. We had expected to be impressed with the Taj Mahal in Agra (and we were), but we actually enjoyed the “baby Taj” just as much – fewer people, and our excellent guide pointed out the beauty in the chiseled flower and other patterns in the marble (and we later had a chance to see how this was done). Walking through Old Delhi was also a fascinating experience, as was our visit to the Sikh Temple, and the beautiful monuments and buildings in New Delhi. The Taj Hotels were great, and I doubt if we will ever see a more beautiful hotel than the Taj Palace in Mumbai. If I had to choose again, I would have chosen the Taj Hotel in Delhi, rather than the Meridian (which was very nice, but had more of a feel of a business hotel). Our guides were also great – all different, but really good at explaining what we were seeing and giving us the history of all the places we visited. It was hard to take it all in, but we really appreciated their enthusiasm. Special kudos go to our guide in Varanasi (Prem?) and in Mumbai (Ada?), but they were all good. Khalid was also very hard-working, sincere, and we really appreciated his extra efforts on our behalf throughout. We were very sorry about the additional work we caused when we left our suitcase at the airport in Mumbai and really appreciated the time and effort of everyone who helped us get it back. Anyway, this is a long story, but we really wanted you to know how much we appreciated all your ongoing encouragement and efforts, and those of the people who work with and for you. If it had not been for you, we never would have gone to India and we would have missed the experience of a lifetime. We will definitely tell all of our friends that Explore India is the way to go and that India should be on their bucket list. Many of our friends figured if we could do it, they could do it. And we did it! Thanks again Nazir. We hope to get back to India in a couple of years, and maybe Nepal (and Kashmir when it is more settled). At that time, we will be in touch. Best regards,

After being home for about 3 weeks now, recovered from the incredible jetlag (how do you do it, going back and forth so often??), and having dug myself out from under at the office, I feel I must write to you and thank you for the absolutely wonderful and amazing trip. For me it was a dream come true, having been fascinated with India since I was about 12. It was more, so much more than I ever imagined! The incredible art and opulence of the palaces, the history, the temples, and the people who work so hard and yet are so open and welcoming - you made it all come to life ….. What an incredible place!!! People ask what I liked best about the trip – a question I can’t answer. The Taj Mahal, of course, stands out, but all the special arrangements you made everywhere, the organization of it all, the private gala dinners, the incredible palaces we stayed in, the shikara ride, the special experiences like the Bollywood Movie and Elephant Polo (!), all of it - unforgettable! Not to mention the welcome and attention we received from everyone, from the tour guides to your and Nazir’s family ….. it was all amazing, and I thank you for making India real for me in such a special way J. Sanjay – I look forward to seeing you in our offices soon so that I can make good on that offer for lunch at Nota Bene! All the best, and thank you all again.

FEEL CONFIDENT TRAVELING WITH EXPLORE INDIA
No company is big or small when you have 100% capability of exceeding guest expectations. A rating of 10 out of 10 does not adequately reflect the level of the experience and value of the tour that we provide to India especially for the first time visitors. Explore India’s success can be traced all the way back to those early days of learning what it means to be a host and to this day, our motto is to treat the guest like a member of the family. A sure testimonial to the business, given the fact that many Canadians have travelled not one, not twice, but three times with Explore India, the early teachings seem to have paid off, as touring to India with us is a sought-after experience in Canada and beyond.
